Has anyone been able to get the cypress touchpad to work in Fedora + gnome? It works as a normal mouse (so no tap click and multi touch). I see some patches that got committed to the upstream kernel by Kamal Mostafa, I also know about the Ubuntu sputnik kernel that has the proper patches. I seem to be running the latest Fedora kernel that must have the driver but still it does not work. It is not a problem for me (I have been using Linux for sometime now) but my girlfriend expects it to work (she is a Windows user).
This package provides Cypress Touchpad Driver and is supported on XPS L321X running the following Windows Operating Systems: Windows 8. Download the latest drivers for your Cypress TrackPad to keep your Computer up-to-date.
Cypress Touchpad Driver Download
3 years agoI have released crostrackpad3 beta 4 for chromebooks with Cypress trackpad.
This update adds on some improvements on top of crostrackpad3 beta 3.
The gesture recognition engine has been updated so the trackpad no longer gets 'stuck' due to fingers being ignored incorrectly.

Regarding Elan trackpads, a driver update will be posted shortly. We are currently debugging an issue that happens on chromebooks other than the C740 which have different trackpad sizes.
