- One possibility is the power supply in that HP. It's only a 300w unit and although the 7750 isn't a particularly power hungry card I think it still draws 100w.

Just bought a HD 7750 trying to find the driver didn't think it would be this hard.On AMD website at the top right when i click 'Find a driver' i then select 'desktop graphics' then i select.

So, I'm going to try to make this long story short. I basically installed the HD7750 into the PCI Express slot on my pc only to try to boot and not have any video. I also tried to boot via VGA on the On Board card to see if I could go install drivers or something. I get no video at all and it seems like the PC just Hangs on start. There is nothing but a black screen though.
You can see all of the fans spin up even the GPU fan.
So after messing with that, the only way that I can boot into the bios is by pulling the card back out. Yes i've made sure it was properly seated without an issue and I know that the Video card works because I've installed it in another, way older, PC that I have and I had video right away.
On my P6-2143w Pavilion PC it has the most basic BIOS I have ever seen. There is only one option that I know of that has anything to do with the Video adapter. I have already went in and disabled the video adapter in safe mode since there was no other option, yet I still have no video.
So, no matter what I do I cannot get video to come from the video card vs the onboard. it won't boot at all if I have it plugged in. Here is a link to my pc and a link to what my bios looks like. Keep in mind, there is no bios update available for my pc and my bios didnt come with windows 8 do it does not have the secure boot configuration option.
This is the option that I changed in my bios to make it look for another graphics controller to no avail.
