1. From where did you download the drivers for Epson TM-T88V?
2. Do you have any driver DVD which came along Epson TM-T88V printer?
3. Did you check with the manufacturer on the issue you are facing?
Unfortunately, we could not find any positive results which say that Epson TM-T88V is compatible with Windows 7 operating system.

Method 1: If you have the driver disk with you, then I would suggest you to install the drivers in vista compatibility mode and check if that fixes the issue.
To do that you need to follow the steps provided below.
a. Locate the installer.exe or setup.exe file in your folder.

Did the device driver come with an install package? If you check the .INF file for configuration settings, there may be something that is causing the driver to be installed incorrectly.
Seems as if an XML or XML schema could also be the cause of this issue, not to sure as I do not have access to your machine, but, that could be a cause of it. I know this is not a definite answer, but, I cannot comment.
